wool felt
Wool felt is a blend of wool and rayon fibres. The wool felt is manufactured in the USA at National Nonwovens.  I use a mix of 20-80 and 30-70 (wool-rayon) blends in all of my wool applique kits. It is easy to cut, holds a shape well, and easy to sew.  Much nicer than acrylic craft felt, more economical than felted woven wool (unless you thrift) and just easier to work with if you are new to the craft or cutting tiny pieces.

I have several colors of wool felt that I sell in 3 sizes
9 x 12 inch pieces
1/2 yard (18 x 36 inches)
1 yard (36 x 36 inches)
The wool felt I have for sale is from my KIT supply.   My stock is constantly changing.  Please email me or stop by on a Saturday in the summer to view colours.

patterns
I create handmade patterns in my home studio on Prince Edward Island.  The patterns range in skill levels from "my first sewing adventure" to "I can cut a perfect circle." (yes cutting a circle with smooth edges can be hard)

The wool applique kits use wool felt.

Patterns are also sold as PDFs for those wishing to use their own felted woven wool.

There is more than one way to get a job done, and different techniques work for different situations.  Here are some photos of things I use, how I stitch...
The patterns use basic embroidery stitches like, the blanket stitch, backstitch, and french knots.
